• Spread evenly, on purpose. No word appears more than 5 times across the whole 100-puzzle pack, and no word ever appears twice in the same puzzle. Repetition here is a feature — it's how young readers build confidence.
• Every grid is generated fresh, so a familiar word still has to be hunted down somewhere new.
• You set the difficulty. Start on the gentle 12×12 with 10 words and work up to the full 17×17 with all 24 as they grow.
• Colored pencil strokes. Each word found is crossed out in its own translucent color — satisfying to look at, and overlapping finds stay readable.
• Family-friendly vocabulary throughout.
